🐉Chinese products created by melting enamel in metal partitions are considered the pearl of Chinese craftsmanship.
Copper-based cloisonné enamel originated during the Yuan Dynasty and reached its peak during the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, hence the name "cloisonné".
This technique, which originated over 700 years ago, has been constantly improved, turning copper, silk and molten glass into masterpieces worthy of emperors.
The products are fired to a temperature of about 800 degrees. Then they are removed from the kiln so that the enamel glaze melts and firmly adheres to the copper body.
In general, the product undergoes 4 degrees of firing:
the first two firings are the initial setting of the base color,
the third firing is to hide defects,
the fourth is for polishing and bringing to perfection.
These treasures are kept in families and passed down as inheritances.
