Happy Feast of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, dear brothers and sisters! Today we remember the faithful disciples of Christ who came to the Savior's Tomb with love and courage, unafraid of fear, danger, or condemnation.  Their faithfulness, devotion, and quiet strength became an example of true faith and love. May their heroic deeds inspire us to remain faithful to God in our daily lives, to be attentive to one another, and to bring kindness, mercy, and hope to the world.  May the same love for Christ always live in our hearts that led the holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, even in the darkness of sorrow, to the light of the Resurrection. His brow breathes joy, His speeches exude kindness, Her curls fall upon her shoulders, A wing trembles over her shoulder. Who is this? A lily-colored veil Shrouds her clear face, A reverent gaze is lowered Under her eyelashes drooping. Her hands are folded upon her chest, A quiet sigh is suppressed in her heart, Her timid ear receives the sounds: "Virgin, thy Son shall be God." This winged youth is Herald of Redemption, An angel, herald of triumph, Herald of the mystery of the Incarnation, And before him, full of humility, The Virgin—the Mother of the Divinity.
