Painter, graphic artist. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Regular participant of Ukrainian and international exhibitions, including personal ones.
Her works are in private collections in Ukraine and many countries around the world.
She was born in 1958 in the village of Lazishchina in Rakhivshchyna, Zakarpattia Oblast.
Situated in a mountain valley not far from Goverla along the banks of one of the tributaries of the Tisza, among spruce forests and highland meadows, this village has filled her imagination with vivid images of folk life, traditions and legends of the Hutsul region since childhood.
Then there were years of studios - first at the Republican Art School (Kyiv), and then at the Ukrainian Printing Institute named after I. Fedorov in Lviv (now the Ukrainian Academy of Book Printing) in the department of book graphics.
Since 1986, Lyudmila Tafiychuk has been creating and perfecting that bright and unique style that distinguishes her work in modern Ukrainian art.
The artist's canvases, filled with folk wisdom, song, humor, are fresh streams from the unclouded sources of the Ukrainian mentality.
Her work includes painting on canvas and wood, book graphics, embroidery.
Currently, she works exclusively in the technique of easel painting on canvas.

The former curator of the Groningen estate, Mrs. Tine Clevering-Meijer, invited the sculptor from Amsterdam (Hogelande) to implement her ideas in the form of such a sculpture garden in the estate.
