After studying applied arts in Paris from 1978 to 1980, Laurent debuted in the comics of the magazine "Triolo" with several stories. Then he published several of his own albums, called "Le drole de monde" ("Strange World").
Parselier became famous, and his creative path seemed obvious. One day he took part in a street painting competition and won the main prize. Laurent Parselier's work attracted the attention of viewers at an exhibition at the Salon des Beaux Arts de Perigueux (1992).
Since then, his exhibitions followed one after another. Since 1996, Laurent has dedicated himself only to painting.
From this date, after several shows and exhibitions, he has shown his works in galleries in France and the United States.
