🖌️🎨 Carl Kronberger (1841-1921; Freistadt, Upper Austria) He was the son of a landowner. In 1869, he went to Munich and received his formal education under Hermann Dieck, Hermann Anschütz, and Johann Georg Hiltensperger at the Munich Academy. Here he honed his skill in drawing the human figure and began to specialize in portraiture and genre painting. During his lifetime, he was noted for his finely detailed miniature portrait paintings, often depicting the head of a Tyrolean gentleman. However, he also painted a number of "true" genre paintings. 🖼️Below are portraits of elderly people by Carl Kronberger.
